Birmingham is actually a very interesting city. With the old architecture of Victoria Square, impressive churches/cathedrals, canal walks, the acclaimed Selfridges building, it's an interesting place to visit and walk around.
Our history includes manufacturing, the car industry, striking in the 70s, IRA bombs, riots in the 80s and some would say apathy since then. Who knows? It's certainly going through a phase of reinvention and you can enjoy a walking tour of the city with local artist, Carolyn Bayliss.
The walks will include Victoria Square, the business district, St. Paul's Square, St. Philip's Cathedral, the Selfridges building as well as the law courts and general chit chat along the way.
